Not so much perils to me, but definitely to dd right now. (And I really do feel bad about it. She sulked all the way home.)
*sigh* Dd had a b-day party to attend this evening. Getting there was no issue tonight. It's tomorrow I'm worried about. So no sleeping over for dd. I feel bad, but living where we do, it's a risky thing in the winter. All dd's friends live at least 20min away, and tonight it was closer to 40. Stinks. I'd like to get down to my lil sister's more often too, but same thing. 45 min away and what if a blizzard hits? If we had two cars I wouldn't worry, but alas...we do not. And as for dd being stuck, I wouldn't wish her (impending) crankiness on anyone! (And after all the sugar she had tonight, tomorrow morning is going to be interesting.) I guess what I need to do is plan sleepovers galore when there's NO chance of snow. Like all summer long. She'd love that, I'm sure! ;-) Love my "needs lots of tlc" house though, and it's quiet location. So gotta make sacrifices. I'm seriously thinking of snow tires though. Just so I can go out to play more in the winter! :-P
Gotta plan dd's b-day here soon. (13?!?!) It's right smack in the middle of the Spring heavy wet snow season though, so there may or may not be any partying. More and more often I see kids with b-days during the winter/early spring having parties in the summer. They just might be on to something. Especially around here!

ah bummer! well I don't think that you've damaged her forever...she would be more upset if you got stuck trying to get her or trying to get back home afterward.
