I've started some food challenges. I'm glad I did. I've been slowly starting to feel better, and less tired (most of the time). Sad that I have to give up some of my favorite foods, but it's worth it to not have the searing pain reactions and/or debilitating fatigue that comes with eating things I shouldn't.
Foods I can no longer eat:
CHOCOLATE (except maybe in a very rare special situation)
Cilantro (and therefor no Mexican, Spanish, Tex Mex food)
Green Onions (less crunch in my salad now, and eliminates about half the oriental style foods I LOVE)
Celery :'-(
tree nuts including ALMONDS :'-(( (no Honey Nut Cheerios)
I'm sure there will be more to come. Next challenges will be raw carrots and decaf coffee (for the chemicals used in the decafinating process).
*sigh*
Thank goodness I like carob. And consider it a good substitute for chocolate. Otherwise, I'd go completely insane on occasion!
