I'm having a heck of a time keeping up with my blog. :-( Oh well.
We got a couple cats the end of October. Isis (tabby mix) and Olive (dilute tortie mix). Sweetest girls. :-) They've adjusted quickly and well, and are driving us nuts daily with screams for treats and "the GOOD noms" (aka wet food). But they also spoil us with warm laps, and Isis loves to headbump us - especially from the kitchen counter...where the extra noms reside.
Got a newer car after dh had a accident the end of October. He's fine, not even a scratch on him. But our poor old car was a total loss. Mostly because of the mileage. Over 116k at the time of the accident. The good part of the whole experience is that we now have a car better suited for this area.
I've been hard at work with yarn all fall. I decided to learn to knit, and made my dh a scarf. Started a hat too, but had to put that down for a while. I crocheted my sister a shawl and beret for her birthday, and I'm counting on her busy schedule to NOT see this blog update. lol! ;-) Currently, I'm making my parents a blanket for Christmas. It's been a ton more work than I originally thought. I keep getting distracted, so it's taking even longer. :-[
Old fashioned.....
I love to crochet (and now knit!), bake, cook, I know how to sew pretty well, and I don't mind "staying at home". In fact, I'd rather not work. So does that make me old fashioned?
or just plain old.....
I snap, crackle and pop on my way up out of bed or off the couch. I prefer to sit with a book or yarn in my hands. I can't even seem to keep up with my blog. And I'm having to employ my kid to do more chores, because I physically have trouble doing them all these days. I'm old, right?
This week, with the sub zero temps and all, I vote for just old. :-P I really don't like the saying "you're as young as you feel". I "feel" about 60, so um......yeah. @@
Ok....back to my yarn and coffee...... (creak, creak, creak)
